About

 David was born in Hackney, East London in 1960. Went to a local comprehensive school and then took an Art Foundation course at the then renowned Hornsey College of Art in Crouch End, North London. After deciding to be a designer, he went to Middlesex University and took a B.A. (Hons) in Graphic Design. During his three years at Middlesex, he focussed on illustration and printmaking, continuing these after leaving. He has been a freelance illustrator since then and works under a different name.  In 2004 he moved from East London to South West France. Here he has found the time and space to be able to take up painting again. With the dramatic weather and natural beauty around him there is ample opportunity to capture some of this beauty on canvas (or wood!). He has had some success in selling his work and continues to exhibit locally.
